A word from within Public Finance Watch is a project implemented by the Centre for Democracy and Development in collaboration with other civil society organisations in Cross River, Osun, Anambra, Kano, Yobe and Jigawa states with funding from the European Union. It enlightens the public on issues concerning the project titled "Strengthening Budget Transparency through Public Participation: Monitoring NEEDS and SEEDS in Nigeria". It seeks to strengthen voice in civil society by providing an independent research, analysis and monitoring of indicators and benchmarks outlined in the poverty reduction strategy paper, NEEDS, whilst improving civil actors’ ability to engage policymakers on questions of transparency and accountability. The partners are Life Vanguards, Civil Resource Development and Documentation Centre, Abgremo for Development, Centre for Research and Development, Centre for Information Technology and Development and Borno Coalition for Development and Progress.
